About us

In 1987, the company was founded by Werner Oellingrath and Ulrich Flenner. In early years they had developed a special liking for Swedish cars and soon owned their first Saab and Volvo vehicles. Of course, they quickly discovered their cars’ quirks and defects and thus the difficulties in connection with spare parts supply - which was not always satisfactory. This situation resulted in the founding of their own company: SKANIMPORT

Thanks to an enormous commitment and competence of the Managing Directors the young enterprise unfolded dynamically so that after four years only younger brother Jörn Flenner joined the business as well.

Today, the initial "family business" has changed to a GmbH (private limited company) with several employees. A simple, yet sophisticated business philosophy has contributed to this success: We professionally consult our customers and supply quality products at a fair price –straightforward, rapidly and reliably.

In the beginning, trade focused on Germany and nearby foreign countries. Today, however, the company has a vast customer base of private customers, dealers and repair shops - all over the globe.
